It was a galore of events at Sona Institutions as Sona Group celebrated the Nation's 77th Independence Day! Chief Guest, Sri.C.Valliappa, Chairman of the Sona Group hoisted the Nationalflag. Students of the Sona Institutions exhibited their patriotism through their dance and silambam performances! Appreciating the performances, the Chairman announced Rs.10,000/- for each team to hone their extracurricular skills. Chairman, C.Valliappa, Mr. Thyagu Valliappa, Vice-chairman of Sona, Dr.S.R.R.Senthilkumar, Principal of Sona College of Technology and Dr.V.Karthikeyan, Principal of Thiagarajar Polytechnic College , Mrs.E.J.Kavitha, Principal, Sona Valliappa Public School, Dr.Bhuvaneswari, HoD, Bio Technology Department, Sona College of Arts and Science addressed the Deans, Heads, faculty, staff, NCC, NSS cadets instilling patriotic fervour. WOW😃... It's full of dazzling lights and squealing children with a flabbergast stage.😮 What's going on?!! Yeah... It's Christmas🎄🪄 at SVPS. Children welcomed Christmas with their Marvelous dance performance. And they took us back to the Birth of Lord Jesus😇 through the theatre art. Parents and children enjoyed the eve with melodious euphony through the choir. Oh!.. It greets with presents🎁 and where there are presents there will be Santa Claus🎅🏻. Not one, but many Santas made their appearance at the Christmas festivity. Kiddos were delighted and had a good perennial. "Best wishes for a joyous Christmas filled with love, happiness and prosperity!"

"World Soil day🌍 Here we come... Oh... What's that I am seeing..? Walking Carrot🥕😳... Talking Beeee🐝... Oh my gosh... I must have gone under some spell😵💫 Hey Nooo... It's Tiny Tots Guise Gallery at Sona Valliappa Public School. Every child dressed up well according to their category and exhibited their talents. They also created awareness for saving the fertility of Mother Earth. Thank you to all the Tiny Tots and their Parents who made this event an unforgettable one.

Take a break and drink our Lemonade. Let’s enjoy this summer with a sip of lemonade. Here the lemonade is prepared by the kiddos of SVPS, with lemon and sugar with a pinch of innovation and naughtiness. We know that lemonade is sour sometimes, but our children made it sweet with sugar. Lemonade Day is a fun, experiential program, from which they learned how to start, own and operate their very own business - a lemonade stand.

Eco Friendly Diwali was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm , pomp and fun at our School . In order to protect the Eco system , Green Diwali is promoted nowadays right from the young ones . Our School children in SVPS are taking a pledge to celebrate the festival of Diwali in an eco-friendly manner. With the rising levels of pollution, children are doing away with fire crackers and bursting of balloons to celebrate eco friendly Diwali. Aksharaabhyasam or Vidyaarambham is a Traditional religious function in which the child is given Initiation of Education so that, the child is ready to receive the Formal Education. This Ritual is very common in India , where the family member keep the child on his lap holding the child's right hand forefinger and make the child write the Panchaakshari Mantra " OM" followed by Alphabets . Pongal, the harvest festival celebrated in Tamilnadu, is basically considered as “Thanks Giving” festival in helping the farmers to get better yielding crops. The four days festival is a sign of Prosperity , Good health, Good wishes and the fulfillment of desires. Sona Valliappa Public School proudly celebrated this Pongal on 11th January 2021 with a lot of activities like games, kollattam, dance and relished the sweetness of Pongal which made everyone happy. Christmas is the festival which inspires the spirit of sharing and caring. Soaking in the spirit of Christmas tiny tots of Sona Valliappa Public School celebrated the festival with enthusiasm on December 24th 2020. The School was beautifully decorated and everyone were dressed in red and white. The students sang melodious carols and danced beautifully to wish everyone. The significance of the festival was explained to the students through the Christmas carols. Santa arrived and distributed gifts and chocolates. A Festival commemorated to mark the joy, victory and harmony. Also it is known as the “festival of lights”. Diwali is celebrated to declare the victory of Good over evil. Our children of Sona Valliappa Public School enjoyed this festival on 13th November 2020 by celebrating it in a pollution free environment by bursting the balloon crackers in a Eco Friendly way.
